3's Program
This program is a 2 ½ hour program, two days per week on Thursdays and Fridays, that provides individual and group activities in a warm stimulating environment. It will encourage sharing, turn-taking, working cooperatively with adults and children, and independence. Children will have opportunities to learn through play by making their own choices to participate in various activities such as manipulating playdough, gluing, painting, cutting, coloring, etc. Through these activities they will become aware of colors, shapes, numbers, and sizes. We will also provide group activities where running, climbing, swinging, and jumping will be encouraged to help develop gross motor skills. The development of social-emotional skills is a primary focus. Development of cognitive, fine and gross motor skills are also emphasized.
4's Program (Pre-K 3 day Program)
The 4-year program is a 2 ½ hour program, three days per week, Monday-Wednesday. No previous preschool experience is necessary. This program encourages pre-reading, pre-math, pre-science and pre-writing skills in a “hands-on” environment where children are able to explore, experience and investigate. They will develop their social and emotional skills. Music, art, and dramatic play will stimulate creativity and self-expression. Fine and gross motor activities are also planned to develop and strengthen muscles. This program is designed to prepare children for kindergarten.
Pre-K Program (Pre-K 4 day Program)
This program is a 2 ½ hour program, four days per week, Monday-Thursday. Children entering this program should be able to separate easily from their parents and also have had previous experiences in group situations such as preschool or story-hour. Our program is a hands-on environment with a balance of free choice activities, learning centers, music, pre-math, pre-science, language development, and large muscle activities. Our goal is to foster a positive self-concept for each child and to introduce, then enhance kindergarten skills.
